The Injectsense Difference

Typical medical device corporations focus more on disease application domains and therapy, while outsourcing the electronics capabilities and development of the semiconductor supply chain. As a result, they are often unaware of advanced IC developments and don't have the in-house expertise to leverage them for innovative medical use.

Combining the Best of Microelectronics and Medical Devices

Injectsense is a highly integrated company. We combine years of hands-on engineering experience in advanced microtechnology -- including ultra-low power IC design, telemetry and miniaturization -- with medical market, regulatory, software, and device expertise. Our cross-functional approach has bridged these domains, yielding a number of innovative patent-pending solutions. Our Silicon Valley technical team has years of design and fabrication experience in MEMS, wireless communications/RF, and wafer-scale volume manufacture, while our Twin Cities team brings decades of commercial medical system and software development.

Injectsense has developed its own transducer design using MEMS, for pressure, motion, acceleration and strain applications. The company is well versed in smart sensing, 3D integration, and wafer level manufacturing techniques. Its technical staff include experts in materials requirements, reliability, biocompatibility, long-term device behavior (aging), FMEA quality management and SPC. Injectsense has established its own supply chain and manufacturing requirements, including repeatability, reproducibility, yield management, design-for-manufacture, and design platform. The company has harmonized its quality management systems with suppliers and partners for large-scale production of predictable, stable and safe medical devices.
